Kiddo in the Sanitorium circa 1919.. (Hand Coloured Print obviously....)

James was horribly ill with unspecified Fever for about 4 days. He was absolutely somewhere else for all that time. So quiet it was. I have never forgotten it. Like a strange dream.

It was summer so I made a bed for him outdoors.

You did a beautiful job of editing on this shot. It's so hard when kids are sick, parenting really kicks in to do what you can and it never seems enough.

intense...I have memories like that too...my son developed athma at the age of 13 - scarriest time of my life, I will never be able to forget the sound of his cough and my helplessness ....
