Print plate

Plate before the print which failed spectacularly. Too much ink. I knew but I did it anyway. Just having a go at posting here. From a photograph of Boy and Wheat

i don't see a fail here, rather somethibg big and strangely looming in the dark. i think that's very often a quality of art: that something is hidden in there, waiting to be expressed, looming and ever so often unsuppressable, especially when you think it's failed. it's not a bad thing actually... just a surprise.

This bit was good. I drew it on a metal plate. The resulting print was the fail. Basically all the ink spread out in the press and I lost all my lines. Most of it came out black. I sulked about it for at least 20 minutes. :))

ah... well then, your sulking was probably the reward the looming daemons got from you for the art they provided... if you get my quirky, trying to save the logic of my ridiculous thought drift :-)

Yup:) The best way to learn. I certainly won't do that again.
