A day of explorations today.. we've been coming to the Algarve as a family for over 3 decades but we visited a new beach today.. Reeeally gorgeous!! It was called Praia de Albandeira. There we found a tiny little tunnel that led to a secret neighbouring beach with the most beautiful arch and rock formations.. I did some explorations by land on top of the cliffs and then when my sister and father and I headed for a swim, we did some more explorations by sea.. We had a great adventure - cause not only did we swim around the cliff to the secret beach (and under the arch) but we spotted a “herd” of “eels”.. yet to be identified, these fishy/eely-type-fellows swam with their heads above the water (just like us I might add) in great numbers!! If anyone can shed some light on what they might be, we'd be grateful!! Of course, heading off on a swim around some cliffs hidden from view of the beach caused great worry on the part of my mum who didn't know where we had gone.. ops! Sorry mum!!
