The Witnesses

This is one of the very first photos I took with my camera.  I had been saving up and researching every site I could and picking people's brains - what is the best camera for me?   I chose a Canon Rebel T5 and absolutely LOVE it!   As soon as my camera was delivered, I plugged in the battery and rushed to the store for an SD Card - and then out on a mission to take a photo.

I found myself at the Mukilteo Ferry.  I immediately set about playing with settings and snapping photos as fast I could - a kid in the proverbial candy store if you will!  I used the base lens that came with the camera (waiting for the Sigma lens I ordered to arrive) and then happily uploaded the SD Card to my computer to take a look.

I was excited, sad, critical - I ran a full gamut of emotions, but...  I was thrilled that I finally started on the dream of taking photos to share with my dad.  Which is what got me started in the first place.

This photo is now a year old.  It was taken 11/29/2015 - and I can say that I have come a very long way and improved a great deal.  And I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn... but, I always will love this photo.

Thank you Ram! I wanted to post the very first photo with my Canon, before I start both the 52 Week and the 365 Day challenges.
