Acceptance

I opened my email today and it included this week's assignment for Kim Manley Ort's Adventures in Seeing Workshop and since my life is a little mixed up and hard to take right now, I instantly panicked. I wondered, how I could get through this assignment; what would be my focus. Well, this Workshop began with “Openness” as the first focus and some how, I don't know how, but some how I became open. It happened as I was looking at my pictures of water from last week's assignment and as I reflected on the words that were part of Kim's email today. I was trying to choose pictures for my H2O Set on my Flickr page. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ceelewars/sets/72157632782372434/ [flickr.com]
I started with some pictures of ice in a glass paired with a pitcher of water with lemons. The picture was crooked so I straightened it. Yes, I know this might go against Acceptance as a practice, but it had the opposite effect on me. When I first saw the picture I wasn't sure whether I liked it and wanted to keep it or if I should delete. After meditating on it, I decided that it should be included in the set because I came to the inclusion that what we are accepting in life is not always understandable.

Just like water I am flowing along and dealing with obstacles. I know there is a destination but I am not sure how I will get there. In all honesty, I am not really sure of my destination.
