The predator stalks his prey, or an expensive bicycle. This frame grab from Nightcrawler is more craftwork of DP Robert Elswit, who demonstrates another great example of composition. It's a very ominous shot. The subject's has an eye-line match with what he's about to steal even though he's not looking in its direction. The shallow depth of field makes us question what the director wants us to focus on, until we find out in the next shot when he's riding the bike around a pawn shop.
