From a Sunday Walk - Troubled Waters

by Chossid July. 09, 2010 4977 views

The Salghir, the river which flows through the center of Simferopol, is so tiny, it is almost a joke. Many times there are only a few inches of water. The story is that once this was a big river, where boats travelled to the sea. Actually, only when the ice melts on the mountains, or like now, when we had several weeks of rain, is there enough water to rage like this.
