Tuesday Inspiration

About the TI

Jenny has suggested the theme this week.

Thanks to Helen and Stefan for creating The Tuesday inspiration, and for Helen's work in keeping it up.

“The Tuesday Inspiration” began in 2009 when they started setting each other a challenge… on a Tuesday. Very soon afterwards, it was decided to open this up to other PB members, followed by the idea that we should not reveal what the subject is, so that other members could compare how different members view a single theme. The Tuesday Inspiration is not a contest or a challenge, but a group of people all agreeing to post their interpretation of a single theme on Tuesdays. Each week, one of the contributors sets the theme. There are now over 60 members contributing to the TI. It is not a contest or a challenge, just a bunch of people agreeing to post their interpretation of a single theme on Tuesdays. Each week one of the contributors sets the theme and everybody else can enjoy/guess what it is. We have only two “rules”: don’t include the subject in the TI title or tags and please comply with standard PB guidelines on courtesy, etc. If you would like to take part, please contact HELEN Girafferacing.

I've been extremely busy this month, and have been remiss in posting. I have to go back and do that, but meanwhile, from this week, here are a few pics on the TI.

The first two pictures are from the bas mitzvah of a young girl in MD. When a Jewish girl becomes 12, she becomes bas mitzvah – literally "daughter of commandments – or responsible as an adult for her own actions. Eliana / Chana wrote her own speech, on the theme of music in Jewish life. Her speech was peppered with many adorable expressions, but the one which stood out the most for me was (I hope she will excuse me if it isn't exactly correct,) that when we have music in our lives, it is as though our day becomes covered with ‘a rainbow of colorful TI.’

We did a lot of driving – in pretty inclement weather. The next five shots show how the city becomes beautiful as it TIs in the night.

Tuesday was the upshernish – traditional hair cutting ceremony on the 3rd birthday of our grandson Shmaya. My daughter had some arts and crafts projects laid out for the kids, and the colorful sand they were playing with reminded me of TI.

Leah, so nice in many respects. I love the color blur and the young girl seems to be barely able to make decisions as an adult. Of course there are plenty of adults who never get there! :) Hope you and husband and family are well.

i like the way traditions are being pass away to the next gen. our tradition was long gone and was influence by western culture..it sucks but that is how things is happening back home..i like the motion and glare its really a unique approach!

Those night shots reminded me H.G.Wells and his literary work "The War of the Worlds".
