Sukkos

I feel like the Pennsylvania Dutch saying - the faster I go the behinder I get!

The arba minim “4 kinds” of growing things seen here - citron, palm branch, myrtle, and willow, represent four kinds of Jewish people. The citron, which has both a good smell and a good taste, represents those who have both Torah learning and good deeds. the palm branch which produces tasty fruit but has no smell, represents those who have Torah learning but lack good deeds. The myrtle, which has a beautiful scent but no taste, represents those of us who do good deeds but have little knowledge of Torah. And the willow branch represents those of us who have neither Torah knowledge nor good deeds. We bring all four kinds together on this holiday in order to remind us that each and every Jew is important and we must be united.
