The Old City

I love walking here on these stones, smoothed by generations, where holy people walked so long ago!

The soldiers stationed next to it said that in the very early hours, before the Arab shuk (marketplace) opened, it should be safe to walk through… I remember when it wasn't a problem…

As I scrolled along I was reminded of when we used to have film "developed" and you would look through the series of photos that captured an entire event. These are lovely Leah.... the mosaics and those copper (?) doors are especially beautiful.
