Year In Review

by Chossid December. 29, 2014 8130 views

I haven't done a review in a long time, nor have I done much posting this year…

Some of my favs, to help me clarify which to post as best of 2014.

Input anyone? I can already narrow it down some, but not enuf…

Memories of my home.

The next 3, not so much for their quality, but because the world seems not to have progressed from that time. Antisemitism and hate crimes are unfortunately on the rise.

I guess I sometimes feel trampled on, like this doll, in our current situation.

Yisroel is a very kind and intelligent man, who had a very difficult life. He always came to make a minyan (prayer quorum) and I pray for his health now.

How many times did I walk up this hilly street in the dark…..

Amazing set, Leah - 14, 18 and 22 stand out for me...and 15, that shot reminds me of my father so much!
And your words about antisemitism are correct I am afraid...frightening.

Some great shots, to be sure. For me there are many that are very strong but the styles are all over the place. That makes picking just one problematic. Maybe group them by themes?

I'm having the same difficulty you are, Leah.... I think it's harder with our OWN photos than with others. As I scroll through yours looking for a "best", I look for photos that stir me emotionally. 4, 15 and 17 stand out to me... 20 interests me for it's shapes and light. Of those, 15 may be the shot that I think most likely to end up in a magazine... 17 is the one I would put on MY wall. :)

Neat images, Leah. For me number 3 is the standout, it is astonishing (and terrifying) the power a simple star shaped badge can have when it is imbued with such a history.
