Spring Portraits (1)

A jumble of photographs from my upcoming project called 'portrait-lighting'. . . Here is a couple of captures I dearly love w/ some great colleagues of mine. Most of these portraits were captured in San Diego, inner city area. Had a chance to go to LA for some portraits in a studio, but someone had to bail & had to go to a wedding the same day....

Since work has caught up to me, lack of sleep, & unable to head out on my own, I haven't been able to finish creating my new website. Currently on the unstable side, but that will end soon. Always feel free to skim through my past projects/uploads my blog has to offer.  A small batch of coffee from Joshua Tree NP Michaela got me for my birthday, is keeping me alive & awake. More of these kind of captures coming your way regarding my upcoming project portrait-lighting. . . Enjoy!

One of my favorite portraits of this beautiful women. She is the light of my life, and is an overcoming worker that is stiff but grateful, kind, loving, whole hearted, strong, & beautiful. Women of all kinds, are no matter what equal. We all share the same emotions, despairs, sorrows, madness, that we can never give away but follow....follow a path you can create, just move on from there and you find your place of banquet...Life isn't a game, it's poetry. You read it like it's reality, You earn and gain trust from fellow colleagues, You come up with new words on the daily/ everyday basis, and at the end of the day, you come up with a poem. . .

Keep a hint of smile on your face, always be pleasurable for whats to come, or even what to expect. They say "Nice Guys Finish Last" but supposedly, that's not always true, most of the time you stay away from the bad, confront it & stay pleasurable to the nice fellowship of positivity...you go so well in that lane, and you end up making new friends/ meeting new people. In my time, I have been scavenging out to find whats new & glad to see what I can find. Not everyone wins a battle, but you once can overcome something or even many things on your spare time in your life. You have a chin, keep it up. You have a backbone, use it.

All over the internet, I am seeing all of these fantastic bloggers, grammars, & flying Pacific Northwest, Western photographers do their stuff...over the past 3 years of inspiration, determination, & stamina, I have overcome to what it means to be a well fitted, business portion, and or "typical" minded in the photo community... It is all about what you accomplish & you tell a story for yourself. I have struggled in the past of what self reliance means, setting truth in stone with yourself cannot always be easy, but it does get the blood going & you end up being responsible for yourself. Here's a capture of a friend, a friend who knows cameras more than I do, and I must say, he captures what the human eye seeks in small places. Tell a story, be great, be bold, be one with the wild side...

Making the day last as we chase the light...It was approximately 7:00pm as we were scavenging back home and we knew there wasn't any sunlight left for the rest of the 30+ captures I intended to have, so we got our things and headed back home....Next thing we had in mind was just watch TV, go through what we captured & called it a day.
