No school because of the snow today, so I got a chance to actually go out and take some pictures.
Despite the cold, I went out to Clinton Lake around sunset, and was greeted with one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever witnessed. Rachel says the half-rainbows are cold “sun dogs” - they're made by the sunlight shining through ice crystals in the air. I got to the dam just in time too, Public Works came around and told me they were closing the road just as I was finishing up.
EDIT - they're not called “snow dogs,” they're called “sun dogs.” - Rachel
