Click on picture for bigger image I passed by this scene 3 years ago but my camera's not with me then. So I used my handphone to take a few concept shots. I woke up early this morning and decided to pay a visit for a proper shot of the place. Here are a few shots to share.#1 Architecture shots are usually taken with wide angle lens. Trying something new, I used the compressive power of a 200mm to give this image a flattened perspective. #2 Here's the same location but this time taken with a portrait orientation. Notice the compression here is even more pronounced than the shot above. #3 I walked to Merlion Park to explore a new angle to take this touristy mutant creature. But light was not right (for my kind of photography) and I decided to move on. On my way back, I spotted this interesting scene and took a quick shot. #4 No, this is not a watermark but taken off the reflection on a pool of water. This is the Swissotel The Stamford. The deep blue of the sky gives this picture much needed balance at the top. This picture would have been better if I had used a polariser which unfortunately, I did not bring along.
