Youth and Taughannock Falls

This week was a very busy week. Our church held our Vacation Bible School program from Sun-Thurs. We had 96 kids, the majority of them are poor and unchurched.

One of the days, Mark and I decided to take some of the teen workers hiking. We visited two Finger Lake Falls and a suspended bridge. We had all but two of them from 9 am until VBS - 6:00 pm.

We all walked the river bed to the bottom of the falls, the hike is 1.4 miles one way. As you can tell we had a great time!

The last picture is at the overlook of the falls. We took them up there to show them where they had been. When they saw how big it was and how small the people were from up there they were more impressed than when they stood at the bottom of it.

What a neat analogy when compared to life. We often see our lives as insignificant, but if we could only find a way to climb to a higher altitude and look down we would be amazed!
