Apple pickin'

Susan and I had a good time tasting the different apples that were ripe. Some of the were good, but we were looking for a good apple for pies. Our choice apple, the granny smith was not ripe yet.

The trip was not a complete loss. I was able to get some various photos and we left with some homemade donuts fresh out of the fryer.

(pre new camera)

I found this beauty hanging out in the store/barn. I would have like to move that set out of the way so I could get more details.

These gourds were so much fun to look at.

I am not sure what these berries are called. I did taste one and found it was not very tasty.

This is not a bird house. It is a device that sends out noise to keep birds away, so they do not eat all the apples.

Jonamac is a variety that is a cross between the Jonathan apple and the Macintosh apple.
