Anne Frank's chimes

The Westerkerken is the biggest church in Amsterdam, built 1619 – 1631 and also has the tallest tower (85m/275ft).

The chimes of Westerkerk, that reverberate across Prinsengracht canal, reminds us of what Anne Frank wrote in her diary on 11th July 1942, when she and her family had been in hiding for only three days.

I took this photo in a chilly morning of December.
