I deemed candle light suitable for my post-Valentines day entry. The hues of the wax, tile, plate, and flame provide a pretty mix of cools and warms. For me the central focus is on the flame itself. We as humans are drawn to the brightest spot. The reflection of the flame in the top and bottom make a strange pattern. For me this emphasizes what a difference a tiny flame makes. The wick is low and there is only a small amount of fire, and yet the wax is melting, light is being given off, and it is a force that must be contained. It looks innocent, beautiful and sweet, but outside of the protective layer of glass, even this tiny flame can wreak havoc.

i really like the subtle reflection of the candle on the table. it adds a touch of warmth to a hard, cold surface.
