When I was about 4 my great-grandmother died. When we were driving home from visiting family, I was watching the clouds. I saw a big burst of sunlight beam down from a hole in the thick clouds, and I asked my mom if that was Mama Bee saying hello. She didn't really know how to answer, but I remember her answering in a vague affirmative way. So now every time I see a sunbeam peek out from behind clouds, making very distinct rays, I like to think it is someone in heaven saying hello. In this particular photo I imagine it's my granddad. The multiple rays lightly shooting to the upper left are almost waving a friendly hello.

This picture is breathtaking. When I see rays of sun beaming through the clouds, I like to imagine Jesus standing on the tip of the cloud, trumpet in hand. I'm glad I didn't lose that once I grew up...
