Patterns

The contrast in this photo really accents the pattern on the stockings. I don't know how to feel when I see this photo. It is just legs, but they are sexualized legs. They are fully covered, but by form fitting stockings that create a pattern with the amount of skin they allow us to see peeking through. Is this how women are supposed to be? Crossed legs, fully covered, but just a pair of legs, seeping sensuality? Show indecent lengths of your legs, and hide your face so you don't get judged by it? Be sure to cross your legs and point your toes so you look like a lady in your fishnets? The double standard attacks women daily and is ingrained into our systems. This photo asks some big questions about what is “good” vs “bad” and what society may really be asking of women.

I love the positioning of this picture. Very feminine and fashion forward so to say because of the funky tights. The positioning of the feet are a nice contrast because modern fashion is usually strong and in your face, but it goes more towards the fem delicate shy point of view.

Wow, this is awesome. Analyzing the texture aside, this picture is so intriguing. It is almost a sultry picture, but her legs are crossed, almost suggesting modesty.
