The Monkey Clan Project

Monkeys are a common sight in most of the towns and cities in India. Some regard them as holy animals, in association with Lord Hanuman (a Hindu God). Some regard them as regular animals which very often steal their food and destroy any edible backyard vegetation. Other like me see them as the beings we once were. Quite interesting is the fact that when operating in groups, they show good co-ordination and distribute work quite well amongst themselves. Usually the elders look after the new-borns. The middle aged ones keep look outs for human or dog intervention during their operations. Quite often they find themselves in battles with local street mongrels and pet dogs! Those are epic to watch.

Experiments with image processing continue. This batch was created long back using windows editor itself but I had forgotten to upload it. Just an attempt to portray the moods/personalities of this group of monkeys which regularly visit my backyard. They're normal photographs with color tints. No filters have been used so they seem a bit unclean!

They are fascinating animals, and I like the way you have shown them with the colour editing.
