Craig Pifer's 2017 - 365 Posts

So, I've never successfully completed a 365 day photo project, and this year is no exception. I managed to trudge through a little longer than I had before, so…

I missed the Iris Festival this year. I've missed it for the past several years. I did manage to capture these outside my office building though. Every year the…

Finally got something into the garden this year. Mostly tomatoes, but there's a pepper plant there too. We usually don't have great results, but maybe we'll get…

Another "what's it" flower from outside my office building. These plants look like a bunch of long grass, but then suddenly there are yellow flowers popping out…

Another UPO (unidentified plant object). To me it looks a bit like confetti, and it got my attention. I really enjoy the simple background and shallow depth of…

Another shot of one of these pink flowers outside my office building. Still don't know what it is, but it is fairly common. Still enjoying the detail.

I don't know what this purple flower is, but the neighbors across the street have this growing on their fence. Since this is right next to the mailboxes,…

My daughters are all part of the local American Heritage Girls troop. The younger girls took part in a service project at the Salem Audubon Nature Reserve. I…

Swim team related activities have become a regular occurrence in my household, especially now that all 3 girls are taking part. A cold, rainy day brought us a…

We have a couple of small garden boxes, but haven't done anything with them yet this year. The returning favorite though is the couple of strawberry plants.…

Another one from the car. The clouds were great, and I loved the light on the trees. Sometimes I see scenes that I know I'll never be able to capture properly,…

I took my camera for a much needed walk. A friend had posted some photos at a nearby nature center, which is surrounded by city. When I saw the post, I knew I…

When I walked past these and smelled the sweet scent of lilac, I knew that I had to capture them. I love lilacs, but I'm not used to seeing the white variety.

Sure, I could have posted another photo of my daughter at her swim meet, but thought this would work instead. These things are everywhere, and thick too.
