Off to Leratong to surprise the villagers with a very special Christmas care packet…
Heartwarming to see a smiling and healthy Adelinah helping to fill the bags. To me personally this is absolutely wonderful to see her in such good health. She could not walk, she was so fragile and here she is actually working, helping with a smile!!
Many hands helping to fill the bags. See how chuffed Rosena looks.
A very happy Rosena!!
Checking the bags.
Sanna, our left and right hand at all times. She is always the first one to help and she does it with a smile. She is a true angel and I love her to bits!!
Last round of checking and off we go. The little girl next to Rosena is Sarah, Florence's little girl who is 10 years old. Sara has a little brother, Abraham who is 8 years old. Sadly Florence passed away last Thursday after a very short illness.
Victor playing with the marbles he received for Christmas.
We walked from house to house to deliver the bags with food.
Mamonaheng with Malefu, very happy and surprised with her food parcel. She is the mother of Monaheng.
Maditsoanello with her little girl Josephine and Nthabiseng in front of Nthabisengs house.
Regina 5th on the right and Regina in the front. Their mother went to town and we had to leave the bag in the capable hands of the children visiting. They looked happy and eager to be responsible for looking after the contents of the bag….
Martha and Matieho. Meriam were sent to do some chores for the family so the lady on the right said that she would pose for the photo, seeing that Meriam was not around.
Johannes could not believe his luck. He was amazed and very, very happy.
This is Esther and Kgetsis house, they were also in town but luckily there were a lot of people who could accept the food parcel for them.
Granny and David.
Mickey. Her daughter Maria passed away about two months ago and then 3 weeks back there was an attack with fire arms on this family's house. She had a very rough time and today's unexpected parcel brought a huge smile to this precious woman's face.
Manyene and Modise. Modise LOVES FOOD. See how he peeks into the bag. Yes Modise, there are cookies, cooldrink, jelly, custard… and all the things you like!
Sanna insisted that I take a photo in her house.
Refue looking quite festive. She was not at home when we arrived and came running to her house when Sanna shouted her name.
