“So sorry!” is the title of the great exhibition of the Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei in the “Haus der Kunst”, Munich.
“So sorry!” - that`s how very often responsible persons in economy and politics don`t take responsability for catastrophies and crisis.

Ai Wei Weis Ausstellung im Münchner Haus der Kunst trägt den Titel “So sorry!”, die Worte mit denen Verantwortliche in Wirtschaft und Politik sich odt nicht der Verantwortung für ihr Handeln stellen.

Thousands of children died during the earthquake 2008 in China - the government never told the exact nmber. Ai Wei Wei deciorated the Haus der Kunst with thousands of backpacks, protesting against censorship in China.

Destroying the old, creating something new, without asking the people - an everyday-fact in China.
Sculpture made of doors and windows from six centuries.

Wooden trunks and roots, placed in the central exhibition hall on a carpet that imitates the stonefloor. The impression is not to tell.
