Needless to say, this post isn't about photography, it's about amazing people… especially my friend who pours herself in to helping to keep people moving! Welcome to our little theater! This afternoon is the rehearsal for the dancers who are performing at the hospital fundraiser this weekend. You can start THIS [youtube.com] playing now for full effect! Here they are!! Every one of them is over 70 years old, the oldest being 90! And one in a wheelchair! OK, on stage, and here we go! When the group started 2 years ago ALL of them were sitting in chairs! My friend Deb (foreground) works for the fitness center, which is owned by the hospital, and has been working with this group to improve their balance and movement. Picture “Rescue Me” playing… LOUD! (if you don't happen to be listening like I suggested!) Legs ups! Pretty darn good for people who were sitting in chairs not long ago! Oh Yeah, now we're dancin' ! I can't resist pointing out that the reason everyone looks so intently at Debs feet is that many of them don't hear well… in fact one of them is totally deaf! Time for a bow! Impressive job everyone!!
