Hike to Fairy Falls, Yellowstone

by Darlene Foster October. 10, 2013 3657 views

5.2miles round trip, mostly flat though, not like hiking in Colorado! Nice pay off at the end though!

The forest grows anew after the fires of 1988. It was amazing how thick these new young tree were!

Many trees down in this area.

Mushrooms were growing everywhere!

Forest fire ravaged the park back in 1988 and some of the burned trees are still standing although many have fallen.

Fairy Falls!

I was also amazed walking through the burn areas in the Rockies....seeing all of the tender rebirth after the fires....

Wildfire seems to have affected the entire area; but good to the new trees growing fast. Waterfall shot reminds of lightening :)
