While preparing another blog this image popped out at me.

There is a forest of evergreens which have been thinned out because of disease and these logs were waiting to be taken away.

There is something about a pile of logs don't you think?

What caught my eye was these look like they are a conglomerate of two distinct cuttings, with the paler logs at the bottom which have dried since cutting and the richer toned logs at the top that are still quite fresh.
