This building is all that is left of some industrial buildings that were built in 1830 by William Malins. This was part of a local ironworks started By John Bedford.
As can be seen, by the words on the wall there was also a sawmill and brickworks near the site.
A local historian has marked many of the remnants of this time.
As you can see now the building is almost covered in vegetation and nature is certainly taking this back.
BTW the eagle-eyed among you may spot the squirrel on the second chimney, I didn't until I started editing it!
