Old and New

I have been taking photos for a long time. I was very keen on photography when I was an art student back in the 1980s. After leaving art school I even worked in a camera shop for just over a year.

However, as my life moved on I lost track of my photography and ended up only using my camera to record my work (I am a Figure Sculptor and Model Maker). Just over a year ago I bought a new DSLR and since then I have been rediscovering my love of photography. This blog will document my journey.

To start things off I give you one of my very early photos, from my days at art school, and a photo I took this morning on my phone...

I took this as part of a series of photos of my fellow art students. I may show some more in future posts.

I have an extended series of photos based on this view and showing the amazingly different early morning light that can be seen from the same spot!

Thank you. I only recently rediscovered the negatives for the black and white photo. Having scanned it in, it great to see it has stood up to the test of time...
