Road trip - Day 4 - to Iona

Had a day trip to Iona which was the birth place of Christianity in Britian when Saint Columba arrived in Iona and founded a monastery there in the 6th century.

I would like to say it is a charming, mystical place but frankly I didn't think it was. It seemed to be populated with trendy, middle class Guardian readers from the home counties playing at being “rustic”. Not my cup of tea, I'm afraid.

Seems very much like Inveraray - harbour and the Guardian readers. Mind you, in Inveraray there is a very nice castle.
