The Magnificent Severn...

No, not the movie with a spelling mistake - this is the original suspension bridge over the River Severn in the west country.

It's a beautiful area but the people are a little strange. It's a rural area - cars are still looked upon with a curious fascination. The local pastimes are chewing pieces of straw and marrying your cousin. You should visit… wonderful countryside and an interesting anthropological exercise.

And yes, I will pay for this as I have friends from down there and I'm having dinner with two of them tomorrow… yikes :)

So you will chew pieces of straw during dinner? It is sure worth a visit... for that anthropological excercise.

Be careful, don't spend time more than necessary there...unless you like straw and cousins more than normal...;)
I thought at first that the dark "thing" suspended on the left side of the bridge rail is a car...it looks like one, but ...I just have a wild imagination I guess...?!
