This is inside the Umayyad mosque in Damascus. I think I'm getting addicted to visiting Arabic countries… third one this year booked for the end of July

Well, it will have been three months since I went away :-)

And yes, I do realise I am fortunate.

have you ever thought about move to live in one of those countries?
I can easily imagine you wearing turban, with a water pipe in your hand and sweet nougat crumbles in your beard:)

I love the symmetry in this image. Iconoclasm has its advantages, clearly. I'm surprised you can photograph during a prayer session.
