The Swale...

This is the River Swale at Richmond in Yorkshire… and yes, I did have some of the local Swaledale cheese :-)

The castle on the hill is Richmond Castle dating from Norman times .

Swale: A low or hollow place, esp. a marshy depression between ridges.

Do you carry a tripod to get the 'water turned cotton' shots?? I love the vastness of that last shot!

The waterfall reminds me Robin Hood'scene, where he fights against Little John. Place and post are wonderful, anyway.
