Not the wrong kind of snow...

by David Swatton February. 09, 2012 2337 views

One of my favourite excuses from a few years ago for the trains not to be running in bad weather was that it was the “wrong kind of snow”… evidently this week it was the right kind as the trains continued to run… and this was on the Northern Line!!

The last bit will mean nothing to anyone who doesn't live in London or use the Tube regularly :-)

when rails are covered with "wrong kind of snow", there is nothing better than a pair of skis.

Oh yes, one of those classic excuses - along with the leaves on the line. However, my favourite has to be the 'wrong sort of wind' we encountered which meant trains through the channel tunnel ran 5 hours late on a trip back from France!

Dang. I do not live in London, nor have I ever used the Tube. I feel so out of the loop. Love the photo David. All the white makes the red and yellow really stand out.

Admit that "leaves on the line" came a very close second.
