Another historical oddity that I stumbled across in the backstreets of Westminster…
I didn't even know that the Republic of Texas was an independent state for a few years after it achieved independence from Mexico… turns out they also had formal representation at the Court of St. James… who would have guessed?
By the way, the building is now a very up-market wine merchant :-)
yo you see... despite all differences, there IS some odd connection between the dark homelands and the new colonies! :-)
