A survivor...

This is the church of St Lawrence Jewry in the heart of the City of London… there has been a church on this site for 900 years.

The first was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666 and this one was built by Wren. It was badly damaged in the Blitz in 1940 but it's still there….

churches have this unbelievable, unholy ability to survive the vilest human atrocities.... it almost could be seen as an evidence for god.

I love seeing these churches surviving all the other changes in the Big City they are wonderful places to visit great capture.
