Tunnel beach...

In the outskirts of Dunedin there is this marvelous beach, reached via a tunnel through the surrounding rock.

Such rugged beauty! Looks like the simming might be pretty treacherous! And, as Helen pointed out, You'd better keep an eye on the tides....

Although the air temperature was lovely the water was numbingly cold... only the hardiest (or seals) would venture in

Oh yeah! I forgot about the water temps that close to the Antarctic.....
It's like where I live, where the seawater ranges between 50 & 55 degrees F, year around......way too cold for swimming w/out a wet suit.
