One of the successes in the garden this summer has been the petunias which have been glorious and this one even managed to force its way through the dense sage in the herb bed (which has also been glorious this year). The resulting contrast of textures appealed to me.

The only kind of flower I am able to grow and not kill is the Petunia, especially the wave. They manage to survive my occasional neglect and forgetfulness, day in and day out. This is a really nice photo and sure shows its hardiness :)
