Tombland...

Last week I started reading the latest "Shardlake" novel by C J Sansom, called Tombland, set in Norwich. This week I spent four days in Norwich attending the Great British Winter Beer Festival and had time to wander round some of the best preserved medieval sections of the city.

Beautiful picture - the different structures and contrasts as well as the architecture itself. On the other hand I don't want to live in such an house anymore ...
Great British Winter Beer Festival - now I'm jealous!

The beer festival was excellent - lots of dark beers just right for winter. It's the last year it is being held in Norwich and as I had never visited the city I thought it was too good an opportunity to miss.

Ahhhh David, missed you! Now I know you where; busy drinking beer again ;).
Love the photo, the lines, the shapes and the texture all add up very well and your perspective is brilliant. Thanks for the share and welcome back.

First time we had been to the national winter beer festival and hadn't been to Norwich either so it just had to be done.

Looks like this building could use a level and plumb :-)  Nice shot.

But I suspect very few modern buildings will still be standing in 500 years
