Oswestry Iron Age Hill fort

The other day we had a trundle up to Oswestry to stroll around the earth ramparts of the Iron Age hill fort just north of the town. You can kind of see some of the dips of the ramparts in this rather average picture but it gives an idea of the scale of the earthworks that would have been created using just simple tools and muscle-power.

I'd love to join you on one of your "trundles" around the fantastic countryside you so fortunately have close by!smile+1
