Spanish Gothic...

The cathedral in Avila is purported to be the oldest Gothic cathedral in Spain, but then again Burgos also makes the same claim. Anyway, it was one of my favourites as it was less blingy than many and the stonework was spectacular.

Interesting. I was in Spain this summer and was told that "The Seville Cathedral  is the third-largest church in the world as well as the largest Gothic church." Someone needs to change their brochure.
