Reading Terminal Market originally opened in 1893 after the city of Philadelphia decided to move outdoor public markets to safer and more sanitary indoor spaces. Originally owned by the Reading Railroad Company, it's now a part of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. There are more than 100 vendors offering produce, meats, fish, baked goods, crafts, books, clothing, and speciality items. It's open seven days per week.
