If you don’t know by now, one of my favorite places to go and shoot is the Shenandoah River. Most of the time it’s only me but it’s peaceful. All depends on the weather and the river itself, I can go there and accomplish what I want. Plus I go away from the DMV (Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia) traffic. If you live in this area you know exactly what I’m talking about.
At the Shenandoah River, in the middle of testing out my new Fujifilm XF 55-200mm lens, I first came across two young men fishing and in the middle of it all along came a guy with his kayak. Of course the morning was just beautiful – blue skies reflecting in the river intermixed with clouds. I really couldn’t ask for a better morning.
Here are just a few images of my morning. The fishermen didn’t do too well. One caught a fish but it wasn’t worth keeping. The kayak guy had a good morning. He went a mile down the river and came back. He doesn’t live too far from the river so he can come and go whenever it pleases him. Like me he enjoys the fresh air during the week when everyone’s at work.
Do you have a favorite spot? If so enjoy as much as you can.
