I thought that these photos might be of interest, I was still serving in the Royal Air Force in 1982, and visited the Alconbury air show. The Vulcan bomber is an iconic aircraft, to see one in flight is awesome, we had one for our flight past on our passing out parade in 1971, it came in at low level then opened the engines up, and just stood on it's tail, an incredible demonstration of power, it was one of these aircraft thta traveled thousands of miles to bomb the runway during the Falklands war, in 1983.

The Avro Shackleton MkII AEW was an aircraft that I worked on as a member of No. 8 Squadron, based in Kinloss, and Lossiemouth in Morayshire, Scotland.
