IN A CORAL REEF - Monterey, California

We spent most of the day at the Monterey Aquarium, trying to photograph the many exhibits. As you can tell, it's very difficult to capture anything in low light and through smudgy 3-inch thick glass! But, I hope you enjoy our “field trip” to the undersea world!!

This book cover provided my theme for the day!

Eel tank

An anemone

Cuttle fish

Leopard shark beneath a shimmery school of sardines in a kelp forest

I don't know what this guy is, but I couldn't resist his handsome face

Tube anemones

Penguins

Saltwater tank

Sea otter

Really wonderful sea set! I'd always been able to watch, especially offshore , fish and of course my favorite sea horse!

Great aquarium shots. I've tried several times to get good shots at aquariums but haven't quite figured it out:)

I've been there several times, we live near Oakland, just across the bay from San Francisco, so it's not far from us. Great set!

6 made me laugh and 7 is so neat. Looks like something from Dr. Seuss. 9 looks like it should be a desktop background!

I love the otter! Isn't that a great aquarium? Too bad you didn't have smell-o-vision to accompany your photo of the penguins!
