THROUGH THE REDWOODS....

Today was such a beautiful driving through the Redwood National Forest, we stopped to take a photo about every 5 minutes! Larry and I have a difficult time every day trying to decide who is going to post what, since we basically take the same shots! Today I chose to share with you the magnificence of these timeless trees and the reverence and awe you feel in their midst!

To save time, we often pulled to the side of the road to get the shot!

The entire drive was hairpin turns at 15-20 mph mile after mile!

The early morning sun really caught the natural color of the red wood

Larry posted this shot that he took today of a lily pond in a fresh water lake near the ocean

I loved this hollowed-out tree stump with the hole in it and the beautiful flowers growing wild beside it

A beautiful stream flows in a valley at the foot of these 80-100 foot trees. (Is this a “four” or a “fore!”?)

Moss accumulates on these trees in a dense area that gets little sunshine

A huge 18-wheeler looks like a toy truck next to these giants

The walkway that leads to the Bandon Dunes clubhouse

Neat set! Love the mixture of curves and right angles, wood, grass, and concrete in #9. All are excellent!
(Was that semi coming when I was standing in the middle of the road?)

Great set Brenda, thanks for sharing such a magnificent place. Hard to imagine any trees can get that big. Love how the shot of the stairway, leads your eyes and mine.
