Marvelous MADDEN'S on Gull Lake

Yesterday our planned golf outing got delayed due to really rainy weather, so we decided to stay over one more day at Madden's Resort on Gull Lake. Since we couldn't take our clubs, we got out in the rain with our cameras! We've never been to this area before and it was so pretty - looks very much like home!

Madden's is an Audubon designated area, and the plantings are gorgeous and natural

Our deck is the first full, extended one on the second floor - the sun sets over the lake.

One of the many sitting areas around the grounds for people to relax and talk

A walking path through some of the flower beds and vegetation

Rain on a lily pond - I was about 100 yards away, so the quality suffered!

This mowed path through the trees ends with a white picket fence and a lightpost

The beech trees are so thick and covered in green mosses with lots of rock walls

I loved the reflections of the trees, the rain on the water, and the bright flower planting

Larry with his souvenir umbrella from the US Open in Pebble Beach. I bought one from the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits - and we needed them both yesterday!

This is a wonderful, peaceful, very well done set. I can't decide which ones I like best. I like the comp in #1 with the wooden fence and stone path, and the chairs with the touch of yellow sunflowers. All sooooo lovely.

What a beautiful place! You missed a Northern California guy (Watney) take the lead in the PGA today? I hope you get some golf in.
