RAINBOWS and RAILROADS

by Brenda Nelson June. 25, 2011 2785 views

These shots were taken at a location where a old rainbow-arch traffic bridge AND a double-trestle railroad both cross over the White River.

(p.s. While I was sitting down to take the trestle shot, Larry spotted a big black snake inside the tracks with me! Yikes!)

These pictures are fantastic you have got so much detail and by getting down low (watch for the snake) you have got some great angles. You noticed the 1985 on the side of the rail, we have some in Scotland from 1965. One thing at least the trains will not be moving fast looking at the condition of the track, good that you had a lookout with you to watch for the slow moving trains and the fast moving snakes. !!!

WoW. Beautiful Captures. My Momma's family is from that area of Arkansas. They live outside of Fayetteville in what we always called Fraley Mountain. I think Hazel Valley is the actual name of the town. I have an Aunt and Uncle that I know still live in Oakland, moved there after retirement.
I am glad that you got the shot, despite your company.

Nice shots! If you're close enough to identify the type of snake then you're too close!
