CNN (Cable News Network) was begun in 1980 by Ted Turner as the first 24-hour news network on television. Over my years in broadcasting, I had the pleasure of interviewing several of their team. My first was the late John Hollimon [en.wikipedia.org], who covered the first war in Iraq and won a Pulitzer and a Peabody for his work. Then I spoke with commentator David Gergen [en.wikipedia.org] about the presidential elections, since he had been an advisor to 5 of the former presidents! Next was true-crime author Stephen Singular [stephensingular.com] who was the CNN expert on both the Jon Benet Ramsey and BTK cases. My most popular guest ever was CNN anchor and talk-show host Anderson Cooper [en.wikipedia.org] who generously gave me 30 minutes of his valuable time! So…I was very anxious to tour the studios where they and many others have gathered and reported on the news for over 30 years!
