"HOLY COW, THE CARDINALS WIN!"

Now…if we can just find another nice man who will give us $650 in free tickets for game 7, I'll post more shots tomorrow night!

(When you view these blurry photos, remember that my hand-held Nikon CoolPix is zoomed to 26x, I'm 350 ft from home plate, AND the entire stadium was rocking!)

It's 1:45 A.M., but I just had to edit and post a few shots from tonight!

To quote Harry Carey…“Holy Cow!” Larry and I are in St. Louis for some Rotary meetings and decided to walk a block from our hotel to Busch Stadium to take photos from outside the ball park of game 6 in the World Series. We stood outside the gates for about an hour in 45 degree temperatures, while I tried to take photos through metal gates & wires!

This was the score when we arrived in the 3rd inning

Larry bought this hat for his brother who is a Cards fan, but decided to keep it since it kept his head warm. We bought another one for Robert!

We were just about to go back to the hotel, when a young man inside the park walked over to the fence where I was standing and asked if we would like to have two tickets for the game. When I asked him how much, he said “they're free and they're in the front row directly behind the Cardinal bullpen!” He then walked us down to our seats and said “Cheer for St. Louis”! Here are some of the pitchers who saw action tonight!

First baseman and legend Albert Pujols hits this one to tie it up in the bottom of the 9th inning!

It says that Freese (a St. Louis native) has no home runs when he came up to bat, but….

…in the bottom of the 11th inning, Freese flew one over the fence about 50 yards from us for the walk-off home run to win the game!

The ground was literally shaking when I tried to get a photo of the celebration party at home plate - and the noise was deafening!
